Tendring District FC loves football just as much as you do, and we want to share our passion with as many people as possible.

 

Tendring District is proud to offer a new mixed under 7's team

 

This is a natural development route from our Mini Kickers and open to all children.

At TDYFC we're all about meeting new friends, having fun and developing a love for football and joining the mixed U7's is a great way to do all 3 things! Our FA level 1 coaches will teach, develop and inspire your child through game based training and fun drills which demonstrate the basic skills and that develop the right techniques to improve their game. We pride ourselves on giving each player room to develop their own unique way of playing football and can guarantee they'll have lots of fun in the process! As always with our teams, they quickly get oversubscribed so now is the time to register and get involved!

My child is 5 years old, are they eligible?
Unfortunately not, 7's football is often a child's first real experience of training, playing and being part of a team and whilst some 5 year olds may be ready for this  and can easily transition from basic kicking to a more structured experience, many won't be and will need more time. We recommend 4-6 year olds firstly try our Mini Kickers session where they can be assessed. Our experienced coaches will recommend the best pathway for your child and advise on timescales for progression.

My Child will be 7 soon, can they register?

Providing your child's 7th birthday is not before 31st August 2024 they can register for under 7's.

My child is a Mini Kicker, can they progress now?

Our experienced coaches will assess your child's abilities to ensure they're ready to progress, and you will be approached when the coach believes the time is right. This is done to make sure your child has developed the basic skills needed to be comfortable in a more structured football environment, and they are physically and emotionally ready. If you would like to know how far along this path your child is, please speak to one of our coaches.

​What's the cost?

The cost is £140 per season which can either be paid in full on sign up or in instalments. If your child is joining mid way through the season the cost will be adjusted accordingly. Please speak to the team manager for more information on what's included and membership options.
